12/07/10 - Improved AIRSON scaler

The AIRSON air scaler has now been improved.
The scaler has now got high power and a simpler and larger adjustment ring which makes it much easier to use.
The scaler is also available in a version with Multiflex-compatible connection.

05/07/10 - Improved silicone hoses with swivelling connection

Silicone hoses with swivelling connection for use with electric micromotors have been improved.
The new swivelling connection is now much smoother and has got a significant greater rotation angle (540°) which makes them easier to use and perfectly fit for the attached micromotor.

This new pneumatic potentiometer can be directly connected to the BMC40 electronic board and its special linear sensor allows easy and precise speed control of the DEFINITIVE electric motors by means of air pressure.

Now it is possible to add brilliant white light to KaVo MultiflexLUX rapid Couplings very easily and economically !
With this KIT spare bulbs are now no more necessary.
Once the KIT has been assembled, any dental Turbine with fiber-optics and Multiflex connection can immediately get advantage of the latest LED technology which allows daylight quality illumination of the operating area and produces a superior uniform light pattern.

This board converts 24 Vac alternative voltage into a continuos voltage and provides power supply for the new BMC40 control board for the DEFINITIVE-LED electric micromotor.

The new innovative rapid Coupling with integrated LED light source !
The innovative LED technology integrated in the coupling produces a level of brightness never seen before. The emitted white light also helps reducing colour distortion with respect to halogen light.

24/02/09 - 40 YEARS !

This year TKD is celebrating its 40th anniversary of work!
It was in fact in 1969 when the first studies and tests for the realization of a high-speed turbine for dental use were carried out. When the design was successfully completed, the company started the production of air-bearing turbines: TKD was actually one of the very first companies who developed this highly-sophisticated technology, which allowed the instrument to run at the incredible speed of 500000 rpm with high reliability.
Since then, many other dynamic dental instruments have been designed and launched on the market, which allowed the company a continual rise in terms of sales volume and quality.
Some historical products, as for example the famous CA72 Turbine, will be displayed at the next IDS exhibition.
All our products are manufactured, assembled and tested at our production site in Calenzano, near Florence, homeland of worldwide famous artists and inventors (one name above all: Leonardo da Vinci).
Nowadays TKD exports its products to more than 60 countries, with an export percentage which is over 80% by now.

19/05/08 - MOON curing Lamp

A new high-performance curing Lamp is now available from TKD.
The Lamp features a high-power LED light, four selectable curing cycles and adjustable setup (straight or pistol position). The MOON Lamp can only be connected to a dental Unit.

12/05/08 - SELF-TITANUS SCALER Evolution

The SELF-TITANUS control Unit is now available with the new improved TITANUS-E Scaler.
The Scaler, more powerful and reliable, now comes complete with DYNO, a precise autoclavable dynamometric wrench which is useful to handle and screw inserts onto the handpiece safely and easily.

15/11/07 - New TITANUS-E Scaler

The ultrasonic piezo-electric Scaler has been re-designed and improved.
The new TITANUS-E Scaler, more powerful and reliable, now comes complete with DYNO, a precise autoclavable dynamometric wrench which is useful to handle and screw inserts onto the handpiece quickly and easily.
The Scaler comes complete with three EMS-compatible Inserts or three Satelec-compatible Inserts.

04/05/07 - New VORTICE air Motor

The VORTICE air Motor has been re-designed and improved.
The Motor, which is sterizable in autoclave up to 135 °C, now features higher power and smoother connection.
A model for use with the new GYROFLEX rapid Coupling is also available.

16/04/07 - New GYROFLEX rapid Couplings

The new GYROFLEX rapid Couplings allows a smoother and easier connection of TKD handpieces with 360° free rotation.
The GYROFLEX-L model, with integrated light source, provides for fiber-optics illumination.

16/06/04 - MICRA-L & MICRA-R Turbines

MICRA-L (with light) and MICRA-R (without light) are the new ball-bearing Turbines with small head.
Designed to facilitate access to the most hidden places, they feature increased precision and reliability and are the perfect complementary instruments to the normal-size turbines.
Lubrication is provided by means of the inexpensive and easy-to-use LubriONCE grease Lubricator. The MICRA-L Turbine must be used together with the MULTIWAY-L rapid Coupling, whereas the MICRA-R Turbine with the MULTIWAY model.

15/05/03 - THERA-L & THERA-R Turbines with Multiflex connection

Our top-of-the-range THERA-L (with light) and THERA-R (without light) ball-bearing Turbines are now also available with connection for use with the Multiflex coupling (Multiflex is a registered trade mark of Kaltenbach&Voigt & CO. GmbH).

15/04/02 - THERA-L & THERA-R Turbines

Our top-of-the-range THERA-L (with light) and THERA-R (without light) ball-bearing Turbines, with 3-jet spray, are now more convenient thanks to the LubriONCE grease lubricator.
The THERA-L Turbine must be used together with the MULTIWAY-L rapid Coupling, whereas the THERA-R Turbine with the MULTIWAY model.

12/03/02 - LubriONCE grease lubricator

The new special LubriONCE lubrication system provides the best way to ensure optimal turbine performance, ease of application and low-cost maintenance.
The special formulation of the grease, which is resistant to the high temperature of sterilization, allows all TKD Turbines to be lubricated just ONCE a day. The quantity of contained grease is enough for more than one year's maintenance. One LubriONCE lubricator is enclosed in all TKD Turbines.

15/01/02 - Silicone Hoses with 4-pin electric socket

We now also manufacture high-quality supply silicone Hoses with 4-hole connector and 4-pin electric socket for use with electric Micromotors having four male pins.

15/03/01 - New ball bearing turbine with light

Elegantly styled and manufactured from the finest materials, the new THERA-L turbine is equipped with optical glass for illumination of the operating area and an improved highly-reliable rotor with push-button chuck.
Furthermore, grease lubrication ensure optimal performance of the turbine, ease of application and low-cost maintenance.

08/01/01 - New electronic board

The TN240 electronic board has been replaced by the new TN250 one. This universal power supply for piezo-electric scalers is much more flexible and reliable than before.
The sophisticated electronics automatically adjust operating frequency of vibrations to the real resonance load so as to get output power maximum performance.
