Sonosurgery Steril

It is an exclusive Kavo-compatible quick coupling (Multiflex™) for connecting the handpiece to the cord of the UNIT or dental unit.

It is a device supplied with the Unit which, by means of a side plug, allows the sterile liquid from an external disposable bag to reach the handpiece and inserts. When mounted on the dental unit, Sonosurgery® STERIL excludes mains water, but there is still no system to push the sterile liquid to the handpiece through the flow regulator; the AIR SURGICAL UNIT effectively solves this problem.

It should be noted that scaling or surgical handpieces are normally irrigated with non-sterile tap water from the dental unit, but the law states:

to protect the patient's health, only sterile solutions in sterile distribution circuits must be used in invasive surgical procedures.
